Discuss Your Website →The Right Tool for Most Small Businesses
WordPress powers more than 40% of the web for good reason. For small businesses, blogs, content sites and e-commerce, it hits a sweet spot that's hard to beat: a platform you can update yourself, a huge ecosystem of quality plugins, flexible hosting options that keep costs down, and a foundation that scales as your business grows.
A WordPress site built properly — custom design, clean code, no bloated page-builder cruft — is fast, secure and competitive in search. The difference between a well-built WordPress site and a generic template job is significant, and it shows in both user experience and Google rankings.
For content-heavy sites, affiliate platforms and display ad businesses in particular, WordPress is the natural home. Custom Gutenberg blocks mean your team can add and update structured content — product comparison boxes, affiliate listings, callouts — without touching code or breaking the layout.

Is WordPress a good choice for my business website?
For most small businesses, yes. WordPress is flexible, well-supported and easy to update yourself once it's live. It works well for brochure sites, service businesses, blogs, e-commerce and content platforms. If your project needs something more custom — complex business logic, a SaaS product or a bespoke web application — a framework like Laravel may be a better fit. Not sure? Get in touch and we can advise honestly.
What's the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?
WordPress.com is a hosted service with significant limitations on what you can do. WordPress.org is the self-hosted, open-source platform — and almost always what people mean when they say "a WordPress site". All the sites we build use WordPress.org on dedicated hosting, which gives full control over design, plugins and performance.
Can you build custom Gutenberg blocks?
Yes. Custom blocks are one of the most useful things we add to content-heavy sites — they let your team add structured content (product boxes, comparison tables, affiliate listings, callouts) in a consistent, on-brand way without needing to know HTML. We build them to match your design and your specific content needs.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
That's the point. A well-built WordPress site hands you full editorial control — adding pages, writing posts, updating images and prices. Handover includes a walkthrough and documentation so you're confident managing it from day one.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
It depends on what you need — a straightforward brochure site is priced differently from a full e-commerce shop or a custom content platform with bespoke blocks. See our pricing page for standard packages, or get in touch for a fixed quote based on your specific project.
Do you offer WordPress support after the site launches?
Yes. Ongoing hosting, plugin updates, security monitoring and support are all available — we don't just build and disappear. Many clients stay on a support arrangement long after their site goes live. Find out more about support →
